First Taste: Lockeland Table

DSC_0303

Last night we went to the Open House of Lockeland Table in East Nashville. This is one of the new restaurant openings that we were most excited about this summer (the other being Silo, which is due to open in less than 1 week). The evening was a showcase for the restaurant and consisted of sampling of their Happy Hour & Late Night menu. The similarities to Chef Hal Holden-Bache’s former restaurant Eastland Cafe are apparent with a split dining room – bar with seating to the right and restaurant dining to the left side. Similar to Eastland Cafe, it also appears that Happy Hour will be a big draw with multiple tasty treats and cocktails all for $6 each. We loved the Roasted Garlic & Parmigiano Reggiano Flat Bread with arugula & lemon oil and the Corn and Crab Fritters. We are eager to try their dinner menu (which looks great online) and will give a report when we do.
